You become a man through education. To simply give life without perfecting it through the process of education would be a betrayal and an abdication of our heavy and honorable responsibility as co-creators and representatives of God; because << every child we teach is a man we win. >>
<< My people are dying for lack of knowledge >>, ignorance kills and the worst form of slavery is illiteracy and deschooling which keep men in psychological, spiritual, social and economic. The treatment reserved for children who have dropped out of school in the workshops leaves something to be desired and most of them cannot learn a trade and find it very difficult to do. This is the most exposed layer to sexually transmitted diseases. Even the wealthiest who manage to get a job are often marginalized. They experience alienating frustration and perpetual dependency in their service and in their homes. Their intimidity is often stolen because they always need an intermediary to communicate.
This is why we must mobilize today for the total liberation of our people who are still held captive by hunger and ignorance. Certainly children are becoming more and more impossible today and their education results in a great concern for parents who see themselves as ineffective. But this education crisis in Benin, far from demobilizing us, is a call for collective awareness to rethink education on the one hand and reconsider it on the other hand as the highest priority. This is why our objective is to offer everyone, children or adults, the chance of a good education in a healthy environment that offers them peace of an interiority that allows them to regain their freedom compromised by the excesses of modernity. . Our ideal is to make the school a real sanctuary where we will lead our children, our brothers and sisters to become free men and women.
To tell the truth, there is a problem and we must act. In fact, by listening to parents and children, we see that there is a total disconnection of the man who finds himself lost in the mass and who no longer knows what choice to make; it is a crisis of identity, a loss that raises questions. Man today can no longer think for himself. He therefore no longer belongs to himself. He is like chained in an exotic cave. He must be freed and brought back to his own territory so that he can regain his dignity of being endowed with reason, capable of discerning good from evil and of being able to make a dignified and responsible choice. Without these ethical prerequisites which liberate the learner and make him available to embrace science, the results at school level could not be better if academic reforms are carried out.
Education is not only instruction, but also the discipline that ethics advocates; therefore education is respect for laws, prohibitions, taboos, and true education leads the child to love wisdom; that is to say, to cultivate virtue. This wisdom is what the religious fear of God can only flourish by remaining faithful to the image of God his Creator, and it is the successful education that grants him this dignity. The one who has fear. That which has the fear of God cannot be wicked. But it is through ignorance that man is wicked.
